About HookMinute.
HookMinute is a free daily game about spotting deceptive emails. Everyone gets the same five messages, with a new edition at midnight UTC.
Made by Hook Security.
HookMinute is created by Hook Security, which provides security awareness training and phishing simulations for organizations. This game is a free way to practice noticing the clues in an email, whether you play on your own or share it with your team.
Practice, then verify.
Every message is fictional. Links and attachments are safe simulations. In your real inbox, verify unexpected requests using a contact method you already trust. A polished email can be a scam; an awkward one can be genuine.
Your browser is your place.
No player accounts, passwords, or email addresses. An essential browser cookie remembers your progress, streak, and team membership. Clearing it or switching browsers means starting fresh. Nicknames cannot recover an identity.
Teams & privacy.
Anyone with a team invitation can see that team’s nicknames and scores. An organizer with its management link can manage the team. This is friendly competition, not verified employee training.
We store game choices, completion times, team nicknames, and necessary security logs. We do not sell this information or use advertising trackers. Never put confidential information in a nickname or team name.
